Juan Lorenzo, flamenco guitarist, has earned a privileged place in the European concert scene. He completed his musical studies under the guidance of Miguel Perez and Mario Escudero in Seville, where he immediately performed in the most important tablaos and fiestas of the city. In twenty years of activity, he has held about 2000 concerts, collaborating with some of the most prestigious figures of international flamenco, such as the guitarists José Luis Postigo, Victor Monge "Serranito", Manitas de Plata, Merengue de Corboba, Oscar Herrero, the “cantaores” José de la Tomasa, Segun do Falcon, Carmen Sanchez, Felix de Lola and Javier Hidalgo, the “bailaores” José Greco, Antonio Marquez, Manolo Marin, Joaquin Grilo, Juan Ortega, Joaquin Ruiz, Miguel Angel Espino, Antonio Castro, Carmen Reina. He also collaborated frequently with pop artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Mario Reyes of Gipsy Kings, Jethro Tull, Tony Esposito, Al di Meo la, Pino Daniele. In 1996 he founded his own company "Flamenco Libre", with which he performed in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Ex-Yugoslavia, Tunisia. In 1997 he participated in the recording of the video "La Feria de Abril" in one of the most important flamenco art institutions, the "Fundacion Cristina Heeren" in Seville, from which the European tour has started. In 2008-2009 with the solo guitar project "Flamenco de Concierto", he performed in some of the most prestigious international venues such as: Tchaikovsky hall (Moscow), Palazzo Pitti (Florence), Teatro Parioli (Rome), Blutenburger Konzerte (Munich), War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, San Francisco. In 2010 he made for the Guitart International Flamenco Edition an unprecedented record work in the field of flamenco music: a new recording with revision and transcription of the first repertoire for "Guitarra Flamenca de Concierto" which was made in 1936, project recorded with the original guitar by Ramon Montoya.
Always particularly attentive to flamenco teaching, he has published numerous essays in sector magazines, books and methods, as well as various recordings including Cds and Dvds distributed in Europe, the United States and Japan. Countless are his courses and masters in important musical centers, associations and institutions such as: Conservatorio S. Cecilia of Rome, Conservatorio Cherubini of Florence, Conservatorio Mascagni of Livorno, Conservatorio Briccialdi of Terni, Conservatorio A.Peri of Reggio Emilia, Conservatorio Reggio Calabria, Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna. He teaches at the Conservatorio of Terni with the first chair of Flamenco Guitar officially recognized in Italy.

Giulio Tampalini

Giulio Tampalini has been hailed internationally as one of the most popular and charismatic classical guitarists, and as such he performs regularly and extensively in Italy and abroad. Winner of the Arts and Culture Prize (Milan, Italy 2014), he is a Warner Classics Artist, has recorded over 40 CDs and he has played more than 2000 concerts all over the world. He has won prizes at major international guitar competitions such as the “Narciso Yepes” Competition in Sanremo (chairman: Narciso Yepes); the International Rome Competition in 1996 and 2000; “De Bonis” International Competition in Cosenza; “Pittaluga” International Competition in Alessandria; “Fernando Sor” International Competiton in Rome and the “Andrés Segovia” International Competiton in Granada. His musical collaborations include the Soloists of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. In 2003 his double CD “Francisco Tarrega: Complete Works for Guitar” was awarded the Golden Guitar at the International Guitar Meeting in Alessandria as “Best CD of the year”. Among his other CDs are: the “Concierto de Aranjuez” by Joaquin Rodrigo for guitar and orchestra, recorded with the Orchestra “Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli”; all the major guitar works by Angelo Gilardino; the complete Six Rossinianas by Mauro Giuliani; the Concerto no. 1 op. 99, the Quintet Op. 143 and the Romancero Gitano by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, recorded with the Haydn Symphony Orchestra; the complete works for guitar by Miguel Llobet; and a DVD containing the complete solo guitar works by Heitor Villa-Lobos. Giulio Tampalini is a guitar professor at the Foundation International Academy in Imola and at the Adria State Conservatory of Music (Italy) and he is regularly invited to give masterclasses and concerts all over the world.
