The artist

Luca Sacher (Trieste, 1993) is an Italian-Slovenian pianist. He graduated with honors from the G. Tartini Conservatory of Trieste in 2013, under the mentorship of Igor Cognolato. That same year, he received a full scholarship to study at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with Michael Lewin , where he graduated magna cum laude. He then earned a fellowship to pursue a Master of Music at Texas Tech University, completing his degree in 2019 under the guidance of William Westney.
Upon returning to Italy in 2021, he further refined his skills at the Pinerolo Academy with Roberto Plano and at the Santa Cecilia Foundation of Portogruaro with A. Taverna.
He has received numerous awards and recognitions in piano competitions across Italy, Germany (Euregio), Spain (Vigo), the USA (Lee), Czechia (Mahler), Russia (Moscow IMC), and Poland (Tkaczewski). In 2023, he released Tous les rêves émerveillés, an album dedicated entirely to the music of Debussy. In the summer of 2024, his album Brahms at Sundown was released by Halidon. In 2026 Movimento classical published his album Antonio Bibalo - North Beyond.
Sacher has performed in renowned venues such as the Verdi Theater and Politeama Rossetti in Trieste, the Meyerson Theater in Dallas, the IIC hall of Bruxelles, Seully Hall in Boston, Križanke in Ljubljana, and others. He has collaborated with various orchestras, including the Arlington Symphony, Garland Symphony, Las Colinas Symphony and the Amadeus Adriatic Orchestra.
His recordings and interviews have been featured on Radio3, Rai Radio FVG, and Radio Trst A.
Sacher is a piano professor at the conservatory Venezze in Rovigo, Italy and he also teaches at his private studio in Trieste.
